The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 We shall surely ease him to the Hardship; 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
