The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 you strive in various ways. 4 As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 and to Us belong the Next Life and the present. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 They do not expect any reward 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
