The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I therefore warn you of the fire that is ablaze. 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
