The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 and to Us belong the Next Life and the present. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 He verily will be content. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
