The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
