The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
