Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
