Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
