The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and the brooding night! 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
