The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
