Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the bright forenoon, 1 and the brooding night! 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
