Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
