The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
