Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
