Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
