Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
