The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
