Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
