The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
