The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
