Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
