The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
