Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
