Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
