The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
