The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
