Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
