The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
