The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
