Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
