Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
