The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
