The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
