Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
