Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
