Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the white forenoon 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
