The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
