The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the glorious morning light; 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
