The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
