The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
