Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
