Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
