Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
