The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
