Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
