The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there.
Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the right to display the Surah Table of Contents, where you can go to any Surah or any page within.
