Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
