The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
