The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
