Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
